The third day of the NFL Draft is usually filled with teams attempting to acquire depth in their rosters, but there are some late-round picks that perform more like first rounders.

Puka Nacua was picked in the fifth round last year and ended up with one of the best rookie seasons by a wide receiver in NFL history.

Brock Purdy, a former "Mr. Irrelevant" as the final pick of the entire draft, led his team to the Super Bowl.

The greatest late-round pick of all time? Tom Brady, who went at No. 199 overall in 2000.

To say Brady outplayed his draft position would be an understatement, as he would go on to become arguably the greatest player of all time.

Which player was taken at the No. 199 spot this year?

Khristian Boyd, a defensive lineman from Northern Iowa. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the sixth round pick.

Boyd earned All-Conference honors in each of his final two college seasons, and he had 149 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 49 total games.

He was a popular prospect among teams during the draft process this year, as he had the second-most meetings of any prospect in the class.

With the Saints being relatively thin at the position, there's a chance that Boyd can make his way on the field early in his rookie season. He'll also be joining an impressive unit that allowed the sixth-fewest points per game in the league.

Boyd has a long way to go if he wants to match Brady's career, but at least they'll have one thing in common by being drafted in the exact same spot.
