There's One More To Go: One More NXT Callup Takes Place Following WWE Draft

There’s one more. Over the last two weeks, WWE has held its annual Draft, which saw dozens of wrestlers officially assigned to one of the company’s rosters. This included some wrestlers who were called up from NXT, laving some holes in the show. Now that the Draft is over, we know of another someone who has come up to the main roster, leaving NXT with something else to cover.

According to Fightful Select, ring announcer Alicia Taylor is being called up to the main roster, though it is not clear which show she will be working on just yet. Taylor has been with WWE since 2019 and has done some short term ring announcing on the main roster. This comes as SmackDown’s Mike Rome has reportedly been moved back to NXT due to unspecified reasons.

Opinion: This is the kind of change that might make a nice difference for the people involved as well as the show, as the ring announcer can give a show a bit of an identity. Taylor has done rather well down in NXT and it makes sense for her to be given the same spot up on the main roster. Odds are she’ll be heading to SmackDown, which will get a nice boost from having her there.
