With plenty of TBD

The 2023-2024 NHL regular season officially concluded on Thursday night with a slate of Western Conference games.

Now that all of the matchups are set, we have an official (kind of) first round schedule!

Per the NHL, the Bruins and Leafs will play:

  • Game 1: @ Boston, 4/20, 8 PM
  • Game 2: @ Boston, 4/22, 7 PM
  • Game 3: @ Toronto, 4/24, 7 PM
  • Game 4: @ Toronto, 4/27, 8 PM
  • Game 5: @ Boston, 4/30, TBD
  • Game 6: @ Toronto, 5/2, TBD
  • Game 7: @ Boston, 5/4, TBD

It's interesting to see the teams play Saturday-Monday the first time through, then play Saturday-Tuesday the next time around.

What channels are the Bruins playoff games on?

Things will vary depending on where you are in the United States (or Canada).

All first round games will be broadcast on NESN if you're living in NESN's area.

The games will also be broadcast nationally on a few different channels, both in the United States and Canada — however, the channels for the non-guaranteed games have yet to be determined.

Where those games are broadcast will likely depend on the status of the other first-round series across the league.

  • Game 1: NESN, TBS, truTV, MAX, Sportsnet, CBC, TVAS
  • Game 2: NESN, ESPN, Sportsnet, CBC, TVAS
  • Game 3: NESN, ESPN, Sportsnet, CBC, TVAS
  • Game 4: NESN, Sportsnet, CBC, TVAS, TBS, truTV, MAX
  • Game 5: TBD
  • Game 6: TBD
  • Game 7: TBD

All games will be broadcast on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub as well.

If you're a Celtics fan as well, the NHL and NBA have gone ahead and made your life difficult on two occasions: the B's and Celtics both have playoff games scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 and Saturday, April 27.
