BOYLE Sports Odds Update: Littler Odds-on for World Grand Prix gloryJosh Gorton
Luke Littler is now an odds-on shot with BOYLE Sports to land his first World Grand Prix title following his remarkable clash with Gerwyn Price at the Mattioli Arena.
The Welshman took command of their quarter-final showdown, leaving the World Champion on the brink of a straight-sets exit.
However, Littler recovered from a 2-0 deficit and nailed a 152 finish to prevail in a compelling encounter on the Leicester stage, setting up a semi-final meeting with Price's compatriot Jonny Clayton in the process.
Littler has now been backed into 4/6 to get his hands on the coveted trophy on Sunday evening, with 2023 champion Luke Humphries rated as his main challenger according to the bookies at 9/4.
World number one Humphries overcame a spirited Cameron Menzies on Friday, and can reach a third successive final at the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix if he can get the better of 12/1 outsider Danny Noppert in Saturday's semi-finals.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said: "Luke Littler is prone to delivering box office moments and it was no different in Friday's showdown with Gerwyn Price.
"He's the hot ticket in the betting, but Luke Humphries is keeping pace at the top and we're anticipating a dramatic tussle for the title."
