Charles Barkley joked with Kenny Smith during halftime of the North Carolina-Michigan State game.

Barkley made it clear that he thinks the Tar Heels are better than the Spartans. That statement was made after singing the praises of Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo earlier in the broadcast.

Barkley knows that Smith went to North Carolina and jokingly said that he wants MSU to win because he "doesn't like Kenny."

"I want Izzo to win because I hate Kenny," Barkley said

Barkley is never afraid of making a joke on television, especially when he's with Kenny.

He and Kenny are also together on TNT alongside Shaq and Ernie Johnson for its NBA coverage so they see quite a bit of each other.

The Spartans are hanging tough with the Tar Heels but it's probably not going to be enough. Right now, the Tar Heels are up 76-59 with less than four minutes to go in the second half.

Whoever wins this game advances to the Sweet 16 to take on the winner of the Alabama-Grand Canyon game next week.

So far, Armando Bacot leads all Tar Heels in scoring with 18 points while Harrison Ingram is right behind him with 17. RJ Davis and Cormac Ryan have also scored in double figures with 16 and 10 points respectively.

The Tar Heels are a popular pick to win it all after they came into the tournament as a No. 1 seed. They finished the regular season with 27 wins and won the ACC's regular season title.

You can watch the rest of this game on CBS.
