Colorado athletic director Rick George isn't thrilled with the way this offseason has played out for Deion Sanders and his football team.

Over the past few weeks, Colorado has lost a plethora of key players to the transfer portal, including running back Alton McCaskill and former five-star cornerback Cormani McClain.

The Buffaloes have also lost offensive tackles Savion Washington and Isaiah Jatta, safety Myles Slusher, defensive linemen Chazz Wallace and Zach Blackwood, and wide receivers Jacob Page and Tar'Varish Dawson.

On Wednesday night, a Colorado fan complained about the transfer portal. Roughly an hour later, George revealed who he's blaming for this mass exodus.

"Thank the AG's that filed the temporary restraining order," George wrote on X.

It didn't take long for George to get slammed for this comment. Many people found it to be hypocritical since Colorado pretty much used the transfer portal to build its 2023 roster.

"Amazing tweet. And truly rich coming from the AD of a program that would have gone 0-12 last year if Deion Sanders didn't have the ability to get a slew of transfers immediately eligible including his son and Travis Hunter," Dan Wolken said.

"Aren't you the same AD who hired a coach that brought in 53 players from the transfer portal last year," one fan tweeted.

"If those guys wanted to be at Colorado, they would stay," a second fan wrote. "Why they fleeing?"

Colorado went 4-8 with Sanders at the helm last season.

We'll see if Colorado can improve its record this fall. It'll be tough considering the program's depth went out the window.
