Everyone Had Same Reaction To Caitlin Clark Boyfriend Question

Caitlin Clark made her WNBA preseason debut this weekend, but unfortunately, her boyfriend, former Iowa Hawkeyes hoops star Connor McCaffery, was unable to attend.
The Indiana Fever No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick had a funny interaction with a reporter about it.
"Is bae gonna be here?" the reporter asked.
"Huh, no. He's working… I'm playing solo. I better get used to him, man."
WNBA fans thought the question was inappropriate.
"can people just please be normal around Caitlin Clark," one fan wrote.
"why are so many reporters being so weird with Caitlin??? you can ask her a million other questions.....about....you know...BASKETBALL, but you settle with is bae gonna be here??????????? please, reporters out there, stop being cringe and gross," one fan added.
"SHE IS THE NUMBER ONE DRAFT PICK. THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A MAN. ASK HER ABOUT HOOPING. DO YOUR JOB YOU ARE THERE TO DO, SPORTS REPORTER. Also, it's time to let the word bae go," one fan added.
"I feel like pro-NBA players never get asked this question unless they're dating a celebrity. Can we mind our own business when it comes to Caitlin Clark's personal life? This is the second weird interaction she's gotten since coming to the WNBA. And it's been like 3 weeks," one fan added.
