Chase Young landed a new team on Monday.

The New Orleans Saints announced the pass rusher's signing. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Young will receive $13 million fully guaranteed on a one-year deal.

Young entered the NFL with considerable fanfare out of Ohio State, and the No. 2 pick met the hype when registering 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles as the 2020 Defensive Rookie of the Year, However, he's still working his way back to those lofty heights.

The Washington Commanders star settled for 1.5 sacks the following year before a torn ACL ended his 2022 after three games.

Young returned to record five sacks in seven games before Washington traded him to the San Francisco 49ers. He notched a sack with two quarterback hits in their Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

While he hasn't made a Pro Bowl since his rookie campaign, Pro Football Focus gave Young an above-average 74.4 grade for 2023.

The 24-year-old joins a Saints defense that tied the New York Giants for the fourth-fewest sacks (34) last season. He'll team with Cameron Jordan, Carl Granderson, and 2021 first-round pick Payton Turner to help improve a unit that fell to 13th in total defense after three straight top-10 seasons.

Young explained why he decided to sign with the Saints during a video conference on Monday.

"It's a winning culture," Young said, per NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill. "That's what I wanted to be around."
