The Carolina Panthers had the worst record in the NFL last season, but before trading up to take receiver Xavier Legette, they didn't have a first round pick.

The team traded that pick to the Chicago Bears in exchange for last year's top overall pick, which they used to draft Bryce Young.

Young struggled in his first NFL season, as did the rest of the Panthers. Frustrations were high, and they even reached the top of the organization.

Team owner David Tepper threw a drink at a fan during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, and his latest antics have fans talking.

Tepper walked into a restaurant in Charlotte, presumably upset with a sign outside that read "LET THE COACH AND GM PICK."

Tepper walked up to a man in the restaurant and removed the other man's hat, an action that many fans on social media couldn't believe.

"what man thinks it's ok to remove another guy's hat like that? and then demand to speak to the person that put up the sign like he has authority?," asked football analyst Warren Sharp.

"You can do a lot of things, but don't touch my hat," one fan said.

"Omg the insecurity by this moron to go in and say something about it," another fan said.

"What a baby. How has he gotten this far with such thin skin? You don't remove a hat from another man's head like that. We've got issues if that's me," said another Panthers fan.

"it's crazy how you can have a billion dollars and still project such loser energy," one fan added.

"And if a sign from a restaurant has you acting like this, you have larger issues. This owner's skin is so thin smh," said Antwan V. Staley of the New York Daily News.

"You would think after getting caught throwing a drink on a fan that he'd think twice about these kind of interactions," another fan added.

"He's quickly making up ground to Daniel Snyder for most dislikable owners."

Tepper was fined $300,000 by the NFL for throwing the drink on the fan last season. With no immediate signs of any escalated conflict, this situation likely won't result in that level of punishment.

It's also not likely to make any new fans of Tepper or the team he owns.
