Fans of the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are used to watching their teams battle it out on the field.

The divisional foes face each other at least twice per season - and again from time to time in the playoffs. While they normally battle on the field, they could be fighting off the field during tonight's NFL draft.

According to a report from NFL Network's Jane Slater, the Cowboys and Eagles are both interested in potentially drafting the same running back. Both NFC East teams reportedly want to draft former Texas Longhorns star running back Jonathon Brooks.

"If two offensive linemen they love aren't there, they could trade down," Jane Slater wrote on social media earlier this afternoon. "Pick up RB Jonathon Brooks and get a tackle in the second and possibly a center in the third. Biggest concern? Eagles picking at 53 and [grabbing] Brooks before Cowboys at 56."

Slater also mentioned that the Cowboys could potentially make a trade up in the draft to select a top offensive tackle.

The second round of the 2024 NFL draft doesn't kick off until Friday night, so fans could be waiting for quite a while to hear Brooks' name.
