Caitlin Clark is officially a member of the Indiana Fever, and the fanbase in the Hoosier State is pumped.

The Fever officially welcomed Clark to town on Wednesday morning, and when she arrived at the team's practice facility, there was already a crowd waiting to greet her.

You think people are excited?

Clark was the No. 1 pick of the WNBA Draft on Monday night, helping the league set ratings records for the event.

She arrives in the league with a ton of fanfare, but Clark said Monday she is prepared for the grind that playing in the WNBA will entail.

"Honestly, I don't really feel like I have a rival," Clark said. "I think the biggest thing is the WNBA is so competitive right now. Every single time you step on the floor, it's going to be a rivalry. I think so many teams are loaded with so much talent. This is the most competitive league in the entire world, less than 144 spots. You better bring it every single life and I think that's exactly what I'm going to do."

The Fever will open preseason play against the Dallas Wings on Friday, May 3, with the team's regular season opener set for May 14 against the Connecticut Sun.

Both of those games are on the road. Clark will play once at home during the preseason before making her home regular season debut on May 16 against the New York Liberty.
