For the second time as a Dodger, Mookie Betts collected a five-hit performance during the Dodgers' 6-2 win over the Washington Nationals Tuesday night.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register writes about Betts' historic night, noting that Tuesday's game helped solidify his early case for National League MVP.

After a brief pause, though, Mookie Betts' MVP campaign is flying high again... Betts had a scorching start to the season and was batting .500 after eight games. He became mortal for the next eight games, going 6 for 31 (.194), but he has turned up the temperatures once again. With his career high-tying five hits against the Nationals, Betts is 10 for 19 over the past four games.

After his five-hit game, Betts is now carrying a .388 batting average (leading all of baseball), a .490 on-base percentage (second in baseball behind Jesse Winker), and a 1.190 OPS, which ranks first in the National League and second in all of baseball behind Boston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neil. His 31 hits on the season also rank among the most in baseball to begin the season.

When Andy Pages was promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City last season, his stint lasted just one game before the outfielder tore his labrum, rendering him unavailable for the rest of the season. That, however, did not stunt his development nor his trajectory to reaching the major leagues.

Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times writes about Pages' journey to being called up by the Dodgers, noting how manager Dave Roberts feels about the 23-year-old.

"He's a complete ballplayer," Roberts said. "The head is good. The mechanics are good. He's physical. So we just feel like, with the runway he's gonna be given, it's a great opportunity."

Tyler Glasnow appeared on the most recent episode of the Chris Rose Rotation podcast, where he praised infielder Miguel Rojas as being the ultimate teammate, contrary to what Miami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. believes.

Glasnow also gave his thoughts on the gambling scandal involving Ippei Mizuhara and Shohei Ohtani, claiming that he knew right away that the two-time MVP was innocent.
