The Orlando Magic will battle the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 at RocketMortgage Arena, with the winner advancing to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. We’re here to share our NBA odds series, make a Magic-Cavaliers Game 7 prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Magic defeated the Cavaliers 103-96 in Game 6 to extend this series to a final and decisive Game 7. As they entered the fourth quarter, they trailed 78-73 going into the final quarter. But the Magic were able to rally to get the victory.

Paolo Banchero led the way with 27 points and eight rebounds. Also, Franz Wagner added 26 points while shooting 7 for 16. Jalen Suggs had 22 points while shooting 7 for 16, including 6 for 13 from beyond the arc. Likewise, Wendell Carter Jr. had 11 points.

The Magic won despite Donovan Mitchell exploding for 50 points. Additionally, Darius Garland had 21 points. But the Cavs got only 10 points from Max Strus. Even worse, Evan Mobley played awfully, scoring just three points while shooting 1 for 5. The Cavs also did not have Jarrett Allen available, as he was out with a rib injury.

The Cavaliers lost despite shooting 48.1 percent from the floor. However, they also shot just 25 percent from the triples. The Cavs also made only 50 percent of their free-throw attempts, while the Magic made 84.6 percent. Furthermore, the Magic won the board battle 48-38. The Cavaliers could not win despite having more steals and blocks.

Why The Magic Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Magic have found a way to make this series go to seven games. Unfortunately, they have not won a road game yet. They came incredibly close in Game 5. Ultimately, they need their best players to hit their shots consistently.

Banchero is probably one of the best players in the association. Moreover, he has carried this team on his back and continues to thrive. Banchero is now averaging 25.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Also, he is shooting 47.9 percent from the floor. The one issue he has is turnovers. Somehow, he is averaging 4.5 turnovers per game. Banchero had three in Game 6. Overall, that needs to stop for the Magic to take control of this game.

Wagner is averaging 21 points per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the floor. Yet, his rebounds are done, and he has not done enough in this series to win the board battle. Suggs is averaging 15.5 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor. Sadly, he also has had an issue with turnovers. Suggs turned the ball over four times in Game 6.

But the Magic also will need help from the rest of their team. While these three are exceptional, relying on three guys to help you win is not usually a recipe for success.

The Magic will cover the spread if their top three players can continue scoring. Then, their defense must contain Mitchell.

Why The Cavaliers Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Cavaliers will await Allen’s status. Significantly, he is a very important player for the Cavaliers as he controls the boards. Allen has averaged 13.8 rebounds per game.

Mitchell has been Superman in this series. Amazingly, he keeps finding ways to score at will. Mitchell now averages 27 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the hardwood. Somehow, he keeps doing everything possible to keep the Cavaliers alive in this series and give them the best chance of winning.

But who is going to help him? Garland did his part in Game 6. However, Mobley did not. Mobley is supposed to be a good scorer and a force on the boards. But he struggled in Game 6 and only took five shots. What will he do in Game 7? Strus also needs to find a way to contribute more. Currently, both players are feeling all the pressure in the world to step up in a do-or-die Game 7.

The Cavaliers will cover the spread if Mitchell continues to shoot the ball well. Then, he needs his teammates to help him out to prevent the Cavaliers from facing any lulls.

Final Magic-Cavaliers Game 7 Prediction & Pick

Will the Magic find a way to shock the Cavaliers in their first playoff series in years? Can the Cavaliers avoid their second straight first-round exit? Well, a lot of this hinges on whether Allen plays. Not many people realize how important he is to the Cavs. Therefore, the Cavs need him to play. These teams have played probably the best games of the playoffs. Ironically, it has been old-school basketball with not much offense. Expect this game to go down to the wire, with the Magic staying competitive. If Allen plays, the Cavs win a close game. If he does not, Magic edge them out to shock them on the road.
