Vasyl Lomachenko will bid to become a three-time world champion when he faces George Kambosos Jr in Australia this weekend.
The Ukrainian star is beginning a fresh pursuit of his dream to become undisputed when he challenges for the vacant IBF world lightweight title.
The 36-year-old won individual belts at featherweight and super-featherweight but had to step up to lightweight to attempt to become an undisputed world champion.
His initial bid was stopped by Teofimo Lopez in 2020 before he earned a second opportunity last year.
However, again he was denied, as Devin Haney controversially emerged victorious by unanimous decision in May.
Haney has since vacated all four belts after moving up in weight and following a lengthy absence, Lomachenko will start again with the IBF.
Lomachenko vs Kambosos: Date and how to follow
This IBF lightweight title fight will take place on Saturday, May 11.
It will be held at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, but official start times and ringwalks are yet to be confirmed.
The event will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.
It will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena.

Lomachenko vs Kambosos: What has been said?
Kambosos beat Maxi Hughes when he last fought in July, but despite that, the latter’s former trainer is not backing him over Lomachenko.
"He looked a genius the night he beat Teofimo Lopez, and people say that there was something wrong with Lopez in the lead up and what have you, and that Lopez underestimated him," Gary Lockett said, as per BoxingScene.com.
"For whatever reason that night was his best night; I don't think he's ever going to be that good again, but Maxi had to travel to beat him and he's a very capable fighter.
“He beat Lee Selby as well – Lee Selby was no mug; I don't think he was at his best then; he was on his way down; but Kambosos performed well and beat him. This might be a taller task, but Maxi's up to it.
"Lomachenko, absolutely [is the favourite against Kambosos Jr]. But this guy has been the victim of debatable decisions a couple of times. If it goes the distance – Lomachenko might have to get a stoppage in order to win [in Australia], so I can see a controversial win for Kambosos."
