Prior to their match at WWE Backlash: France, AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes came face-to-face in the main event of this week’s episode of SmackDown.

While the two men went back and forth on the microphone, Styles put up his hand for the "Two Sweet" gesture and then slapped the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion as the show went off the air.
