The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft is set for Thursday night, and with so many teams in need of new quarterbacks, there could be movement in the order.

Colin Cowherd released his final mock draft on "The Herd" Thursday, and he sees two teams making a massive trade near the top of the board.

Cowherd has the Minnesota Vikings moving up to No. 3 to draft North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, while the Patriots will move down to No. 11 and take Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

The Patriots have seemingly been locked in on a quarterback for some time, but the Vikings made a move to acquire an additional first-round pick a few weeks ago.

Sending those two firsts to New England could be enough to entice them to trade down, allowing Minnesota to take their Kirk Cousins replacement in Maye.

The Patriots would address an area of great need with Odunze, as they've lacked a true No. 1 wide receiver for years.

Still, with quarterback being the most important position in football, it's difficult to see them passing up the opportunity.

The Patriots seemed to declare their intentions with the No. 3 pick earlier this year by trading Mac Jones to the Jaguars, opening up the quarterback room for a younger option who can hopefully find more success.

Minnesota wants to accelerate their rebuild by finding their next franchise quarterback, and with several QB-needy teams ahead of them, they may need to trade up in order to do so.

Taking Maye would secure one of the top prospects in the class, setting the stage for the team to address other needs later on in the draft.

We'll see if Cowherd's prediction becomes a reality later today.
