The Detroit Lions are keeping Amon-Ra St. Brown around a while, and they're paying him handsomely to stay.

St. Brown and the Lions agreed to a four-year extension on Wednesday, according to reports. The deal is worth $120 million with $77 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, making St. Brown the new highest-paid wideout in the NFL.

A fourth-round pick out of USC in 2021, St. Brown logged 912 receiving yards as a rookie and topped the 1,000-yard mark in each of the last two seasons.

In 2023, he set personal-bests across the board, recording 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns while earning a second-straight Pro Bowl appearance and first-team All-Pro honors.

St. Brown is actually at Ford Field today, presumably to put the finishing touches on his new contract, and he shared a video to his Instagram story that is sure to excite Lions fans.

"I can't wait. I'm here. Four more years. It's up. It's turnt. Detroit, what up though?" St. Brown says in the clip.

The Lions are coming off a 12-5 season that included the first division title since 1993, first playoff win since 1991 and nearly the franchise's first trip to the Super Bowl.

With most key pieces returning and critical additions including guard Kevin Zeitler, cornerback Carlton Davis and defensive tackle DJ Reader, Detroit will once again be pegged as a contender in the NFC in 2024.
