Vanessa Bryant Sends Special Gift To NCAA Tournament Team

Vanessa Bryant surprised No. 1 seed UConn with an awesome gift ahead of its Sweet 16 showdown with San Diego State.
Bryant gave the defending champions unreleased Kobe sneakers for the second week of the NCAA Tournament. They're called the "Italian Camo" Kobe 6 Protros.
The official Instagram account for the UConn men's basketball team shared a video of the players opening up their very own pair of Kobes. As you'd expect, they were amped up about this surprise.
"I just wanna say thank you to Vanessa Bryant and the Bryant family. We appreciate you," UConn guard Hassan Diarra said, via TMZ Sports. "We're gonna show out in the NCAA tournament!"
Last year, UConn was gifted Huskies Kobe 8 Protros as part of the Mamba Program from Nike. The Huskies ultimately went on a run to win the entire tournament.
Perhaps the "Italian Camo" Protros will be a good luck charm for the Huskies.
UConn and San Diego State will square off tonight. Tipoff is currently set for 7:39 p.m. ET.
Just like most games, UConn is heavily favored by oddsmakers. We'll see if Dan Hurley's squad can deliver once again.
